Joy in the Wild - May '25

Service Description

Join us for a walk on one of Central Massachusetts' many trails to explore the nature of joy, through nature. We'll spend 90 minutes together. Our journey will take us roughly 1.5 miles into the woods (and then back out), walking relatively flat terrain, with pauses to be in and explore through joy. Along our journey we'll pause to connect with the Earth, the flora and fauna, and each other. Registration required to receive meeting location. Typical "Joy in the Wild" hike: - We will meet in parking lot near trailhead - 10-minute walking "grounding" exercises - Direct contact with nature - Playful engagement with our environment Please be sure to bring: - appropriate shoes for walking out in nature - water for hydration - snack, if necessary (total time is 90 minutes) No pets, please. This is ultimately a mindfulness practice and to support everyone's ability to be fully present, we ask that you leave Fido and Spot at home. Weather Policy: - We will still walk if there is light precipitation (mist, fog, drizzle, flurries). In case of inclement weather (rain, snow, sleet), our rain-date will be the following day (Sunday). Should both days be consumed by inclement weather, your registration will be either bumped to the next month's walk, or you can request a refund at findjoy@joygym.org.
